i’m all about the furnishings, my squat looks like BatMans cave so seeing these lamps from the Spring 2010 – Successful Living range from Diesel, in conjunction with Foscarini & i must say i like. here i was thinking all Diesel were good at making were over-priced denimbut these lamps aren’t simply there to brighten a space, they tell a narrative through iconic, humorous images.
one of the lamps takes perspective from a DJ’s deck with the other taking perspective from a pilots’ cockpit, with both being backed with nature-inspired images of classic floral themes; making these one for more than just the men.
i’m about to spend a whole lot of money i don’t really have, more pics after the click.
A record player created from a piece of corrugated cardboard that folds into an envelope. Once assembled, a record can be spun on the player with a pencil. The vibrations go trough the needle and are amplified in the cardboard material.
this is crazy; admittedly the concept isn’t entirely new but with this carnation GGRP seem to have perfected the travel phonograph – I WANT!
Another Dilla drop i hear you say. . . indeed, but this time it’s a little different. Stones Throw & Serato have put together special edition J. Dilla Serato set, which includes two discs – 2 sides with Serato Control Tone for Scratch Live deejays, b/w 6 previously unreleased Dilla tracks selected from the vault by J. Rocc, as well as 2 donut slipmats designed by Studio No. 1. Of course, all of it is wrapped up in incredible Stones Throw packaging, as seen here.
The J Dilla tracks consist of three previously unreleased instrumentals selected by J.Rocc from the Dilla archives – “Safety Dance”, “Sycamore”, “Bars & Twists”, and three unreleased instrumental versions of Dilla’s production for Mos Def, Q-Tip and Busta Rhymes, each remastered by Elysian Masters who mixed and mastered J Dilla’s Donuts, The Shining and Ruff Draft albums. Release day is May 10th. Pre-Order yours exclusively at Stones Throw.
