Liza Vadnai - Heroine Bag Stamps As Art - Life Stamp

the drug trade has long been a way for the inner city to make money thriving on the exploitation of there own & the history of it has always been something that’s intrigued me but i’ve never looked at drugs as “art” before but i’ve never been on the recieving end of a crack deal so i suppose i’m not a target consumer.

after watching shows like Ameican Gangster, i know the drug trade has always been into advertising, blue magic anyone? but little did i know in 2010, $10bags are still pushed as brands – “Show Time” anybody?

though for some perverse reason i just like the marketing of the bags this collection is for a reason. Liza Vadnai and the Stamp Collective & is looking for for support to get a campaign up & running. the project’s is attempting to draw attention to issues around/within drug use. click here for info.

i’m not usually the type to promote random little upstart projects but the history behind this issue is something that’s always intrigued me, the way drugs can be used to keep communities enslaved is potent. fuck Hoover.
